TLDR
We handle the claim from documentation through supplements to final billing. You handle your deductible and nothing else. You choose the shop, not the carrier.
OCRV Center handles RV, camper van, trailer, and commercial vehicle insurance claims for Newport Beach owners from documentation through final billing. We bill direct with every major carrier, submit documented supplements, and provide collision estimates at no charge.
Why RV and Van Claims Go Wrong More Often Than Car Claims
Adjusters write hundreds of automobile estimates for every recreational vehicle estimate they write. That is not a criticism, it is arithmetic, and it explains most of what goes wrong. Automotive damage patterns are well understood and heavily standardized. A coach built vehicle behaves differently: force travels through a structure that was assembled rather than engineered to deform, and the damage that matters most often sits well away from the visible impact.
The practical result is that a first estimate on an RV or a converted van is frequently written for the part of the damage that photographs well. Our role is to find the rest of it, document it properly, and get it approved before it becomes the reason your vehicle sits for three extra weeks.
What We Actually Do on Your Claim
- Document at intake: Full photographic record, moisture metering where relevant, and structural measurement before a single fastener comes out.
- Submit early and supplement early: Hidden damage goes to your adjuster as it is found rather than batched at the end where it stalls delivery.
- Bill your carrier direct: We invoice the carrier so you handle the deductible and nothing else.
- Communicate weekly: You get a status update without having to chase us, and you get told when something changes rather than at pickup.
- Hold the file open through quality control: Closing a claim before latent damage surfaces is the single most expensive mistake owners make.
Carriers We Bill Direct
We work direct with every major carrier and hold direct repair relationships with several. Insurance billed jobs may be billed at carrier negotiated labor rates that differ from our posted retail rates.

Your Rights as a California Policyholder
- You choose the repair facility: A carrier can recommend a direct repair shop. It cannot require one. This is the single most useful thing most owners do not know.
- You can request a supplement: An estimate is a starting position, not a final determination. Hidden damage found during repair is supplementable.
- You have an appraisal clause: Almost every policy contains one. If a settlement is genuinely below what the repair requires, there is a defined process available to you.
- You are entitled to a proper repair: Not the cheapest repair that could plausibly be argued for. Structural work in particular is a safety matter, not a cosmetic preference.
